Comedian John Pinette was found dead in his hotel room Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh. He was 50. The larger-than-life comic had been battling weight issues for many years, and Pinette’s own doctor has confirmed that heart disease was the cause of his untimely demise.
John Pinette was from Boston and commonly made self-deprecating jokes about his struggles with his weight, even titling some of his comic releases: “Making Lite Of Myself,” “Show Me The Buffet,” “Still Hungry,” and “I’m Starvin’!”
Beyond comedy, John had also appeared in films like “The Punisher,” “Junior,” “Duets” and “Dear God.” He was also part of the final episode of Seinfeld.
This was one funny, funny man who we’ll all miss very much.
